Academy Squad

Hi everyone

With only two days to go I hope you are all rested in anticipation for the profiling this Saturday!?

The weather is looking kind for us, promising to warm up but, the wind will be coming from the NE which means chop. The current prediction is for a light wind with the occasional moderate gust – something I know everyone is capable of handling on the day. HOWEVER, if someone feels that the conditions are beyond them it is your responsibility to inform me – I do not want paddlers going out fearful of what may or may not happen.

Due to the wind direction I would like to state that I am 80% confident that the conditions at Carbis bay will be suitable for all however, I will post updates on Facebook and Twitter as these are the quickest to send out info while out checking conditions.

In short, everyone should head to Carbis Bay unless informed otherwise by me.

The format will be the same as before 2k paddle followed by a 4k soft sand run. To aid safety for the day I would like squad paddlers to turn up at their usual training time and I will run separate time trials for each squad (keeping groups on the water smaller).

I will be out on the water providing safety and I would greatly appreciate it if someone would volunteer to help record water time trials.

Finally, I would like paddlers to come to the profiling with an idea of by how much you would like to improve previous times by (times are up on the website). These times are to be given to me before starting the profiling.

Any questions, as usual, please call me if you are unsure of anything.

Take it easy,

Glenn
