Team Ocean Sports came about as a result of wanting to give something back to the sport – three people were select based upon their commitment, persistence in pushing themselves (in sport and academically) as well as how each individual presents themselves to others as positive role models.
The team trains on a regular basis with us and receives the latest in scientific advice and guidance in training programmes, hydration and nutritional strategies, mental training programmes as well as continued performance analysis. In addition we provide support with sport equipment (paddles and skis) as well as technical Ocean Sports clothing and casual wear.
As Team Ocean Sports we will be travelling to clubs to run ‘Free’ coached sessions during the summer months to provide coaching support and advice which smaller clubs may not have access to.
Under the team section each paddler will update their own personal blog relating to training and results at various points throughout the year – keep posted to see what each of them gets up to in training and competition. Before they do so, I will provide a brief introduction to each paddler of what ‘I’ think their qualities are (just in case they are a little shy).
